Drake sent the last photo on your Kendrick Lamar beef, but fans — actually, trolls — may have the last word, flocking to GoFundMe to mock him and potentially profit from his demise in rap… which the company is shutting down.
Here’s the deal… while the dust possibly settles on the rap front – most experts say Kendrick won – people online are still having fun with all the back and forth between these two hip-hop titans, and some even running to GFM to raise a little money… or that was the plan.
In fact, a ton of people have created fake GoFundMe campaigns in the last 24 hours or so… and many of them are at Drake’s expense, soliciting funds to celebrate his metaphorical burial… if you believe it, he lost the rap wars 2024.
Some of the titles of these fake fundraisers are pretty hilarious, we admit. There’s “Support Kendrick Lamar’s Studio Time for the Ultimate Diss T;” “Join the Love Fund for Drake’s Farewell;” “RIP Drake (champagnepapi): Fans Unite in Grief”… and others.
As ridiculous as these GFM pages seem, the jokesters were trying to raise real money – with fundraising goals as low as $10,000 and as high as $616,000… a play on the diss track “6:16 in LA” by Kendrick.
Luckily for everyone, these idiots didn’t raise a dime before GoFundMe could step in to police the mess.
A representative for the company told TMZ… “We can confirm that we are monitoring the platform for related fundraising starts and will remove those that have not been authorized by the recipient of the funds. misuse of our platform.”
In other words… GFM crushed the campaigns before anyone could be moved to donate – this is a relief because we can see some overly passionate fans contributing.
As you know… the last person to take stock it was Drake, with his song “The Heart Part 6” bolstering allegations that Kendrick was physical with his longtime fiancée. Kendrick, for his part, has repeatedly alleged that Drake was grooming underage girls, which he has denied.
K.Dot hasn’t responded yet, but the goons are out and hoping to get her name anyway. Be careful guys…that money doesn’t grow on trees, and if you donate to this fake crap – you might as well consider it money on your grave!!!
