Ryan Garcia laid the blame for his failed PED check squarely at the feet of Victor Conte …however, the former BALCO brain turned anti-doping advocate says this is pure bullshit, saying TMZ Sports Activities he had absolutely nothing to do with the failed check!
“Your conspiracy concept is completely fallacious and debunked. I have nothing to do with it. I am completely impartial regarding VADA,” Conte told us on Thursday, addressing Garcia’s allegation.
When you lost, after the information came out, King Ry failed several checks to Ostarine, the 25-year-old fighter came forward with this allegation.
“I hear Devin Haneyhe is linked to Victor Conte, who is linked to VADA, very closely,” Garcia alleged in a video posted on his social media page, adding: ‘Victor Conte, who is identified as having been caught for dishonesty.’
FYI, the Conte Bay Space Laboratory Cooperative, or BALCO, was at the center of the massive steroid scandal that rocked baseball in the mid-2000s. Since then, Conte has dedicated his career to maintaining the sport. He is also considered an athlete, including Haney.
We also asked Victor, a leading expert on performance enhancers, to explain how an athlete can benefit from taking Ostarine, the substance that appeared in Ryan’s test.
“Ostarine is something known as SARM. This stands for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator,” Conte explained.
“This classification of medications is similar to anabolic steroids. Once they were first released, they were considered safer than steroids. However, they actually promote protein synthesis or muscle growth, in addition to fat loss.”
Victor added… “They definitely improve efficiency.”
As for the particular advantages, VC defined it like this.
“Sooner, stronger and with greater response time. It energizes you. Help with restoration. Accelerates therapeutic and tissue restoration after exercise. It definitely increases efficiency.”
In fact, Garcia has adamantly stated that he has never cheated… and if he needs to, Ryan can ask the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) to check a secondary sample that was collected the day before/day of the big fight.
