Bryant dedicated a touching post to his daughter, featuring videos and photos of the late teenager. Her caption talked about what Gianna’s journey would have been like this year.
“Happy birthday to my beautiful girl, Gigi! I love you. I miss you. I’m so proud of you. 2024 was your year. You would be graduating from high school and choosing which college to go to. (I would have tried my best to convince him to stay close to home).
The footage showed moments of Gianna with her parents at different stages of her young life.

Four years ago, Gianna, NBA legend Kobe Bryant and seven others died in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles.
After the deaths of Gianna and Kobe, Vanessa continued to promote their athletic and life legacies. From dedications of statues to suing firefighters who shared photos of his family’s accident scene in unauthorized cases.
In March 2023, Vanessa went out with a US$28.8 million court ruling in favor of her and her daughters, Natalia, Bianka and Capri. Other families affected by the crash also received payments totaling more than $16 million combined.
