Tupac Shakurproperty is establishing legislation on Drake … threatening to take him to court for using an AI-generated version of the late rapper’s voice for a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar.
TMZ obtained cease and desist Letter fired by Tupac estate lawyer, Howard Kingand calls out Drake for AI’s verse on “Taylor Made Freestyle”… saying, “Not only is the file a blatant violation of Tupac’s exposure and legal property rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the world’s many finest artists. hip-hop of all time.”
The property continues to say that it could never have given approval for this – and points out an ultimatum: withdraw the note in less than 24 hours and explain how it was made… or else.
Crew Tupac’s lawyers say they have been authorized to “pursue all legal remedies” if they are unable to resolve the matter amicably.
On Drake’s note, AI Pac sings, “Kendrick, we want you, the savior of the West Coast. Etching your name in some hip hop history. In case you take care of it cruelly. You seem a little nervous about all the publicity.”
In addition to Tupac, Drake’s diss track also included vocals from Snoop Dogg – all through the ease of AI. The real Snoop reacted to the track, joking on IG: “They did what? When? As? You are sure? You have night.
The song even angered Tupac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur …who advised us Drake to use Tupac’s voice as a weapon just for a rap battle didn’t fly with him.
