At the time of the reports, Clarks’ salary – and those of fellow recruits Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso – provoked criticism. Many social media users believed that the WNBA should pay its athletes more.

The reports even prompted fellow professional athlete Russell Wilson to intervene.

Furthermore, Wilson’s observations were further followed by President Joe Biden. However, despite the salary discrepancy that Clark can receive under the WNBA, it appears that the 22-year-old will make a lot of money from another business venture.
