Lisa Vanderpump is taking ET inside his latest restaurant!
ET’s Brice Sander got a grand tour of Vanderpump Rules star’s Lake Tahoe restaurant, Wolf by Vanderpump, and the businesswoman revealed why she is “absolutely ecstatic” with the restaurant’s outcome.
“It was really challenging to bring it to fruition, but it turned out absolutely spectacular,” she said of the restaurant, which she designed alongside her longtime collaborator Nick Alain. “…This is a dream come true.”
“We only have one chance to create something we dream of. Who gets that chance?” Lisa added. “When Caesars said, ‘We have this space in Lake Tahoe and you can basically dream up something crazy,’ we just jumped on it and looked at it.”
The space is the SUR owner’s largest ever and has all the necessary amenities. From a massive custom bar to seven-foot-high ceilings, a cozy library, and rotating chandeliers adorned with crystal-covered antlers, the entire place is War of Thrones finds the chic chalet.
“He’ll say, ‘Let’s eat horns.’ I’ll be like, ‘Let’s have crystals. Let’s make it this big.’ And then we say, ‘Let’s make it rotate,'” Lisa told ET about how the rotating lighting came about. “I like movement in a restaurant.”
Overall, Lisa said the “experimental” space is “very organic, very natural” and “more masculine” than her other restaurants.
“It’s always a big statement,” she said. “I don’t think we’ll ever be accused of being soft. We’re maximalists, for sure.”
This is never truer than with the bar, which features two life-size wolves breaking free from cages while sitting atop the bar.
“It has a lot of detail when you look at it,” she said. “…When I see it all finished, I think, ‘How did we do it all?’ It’s crazy… It’s all about the details. It’s very personal to me.”
This is especially true because of the name of the restaurant, as Lisa explained: “My grandson, Teddy, his middle name was Teddy Wolf, so I thought it was so ingenious.
Wolf by Vanderpump is now open in Harvey’s Lake Tahoe.
