Ryan Gosling is opening up about her latest film’s connection to her life at home with Eva Mendes!
In a new interview with Men’s healthO Autumn Face star gives an interview alongside the film’s director David Leitch and says that Mendes (whom he calls his “hero”) and his daughters are always his endgame.
“I often think about what will be important to me on my deathbed, what I did and didn’t do,” Gosling told the magazine. “It puts things in perspective. It’s always about family first. I don’t think I’ll regret anything professionally, but I think when it comes to Eva (Mendes) and the girls, they come first.”
He continues: I don’t know, it’s probably not good for me to go to my deathbed, but it’s useful for me. Whenever I’m fighting, I just think about whether it will matter to me, because, yes, all of this can be distorted…. Are you going to care about this whether you did it or not, whatever it is? It’s extreme, but it’s useful.”
Gosling, 43, and Mendes, 50, have been together since 2011. Together, the two are parents to daughters Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7. Throughout their relationship, Mendes and Gosling have remained private, with the actress. talking about your man on social media every now and then, but never sharing photos of him or his children for privacy reasons.
Gosling has been open about supporting Mendes in his recent career moves, especially during his recent Barbie run – where he rocked an “E” necklace for Mendes. At the premiere, Gosling also talked about his girls’ reaction to his Oscar-nominated role as Ken.
“Well, I guess it was weird enough for them that I played Ken anyway.” he told ET at the film’s 2023 premiere. “I might like, you know, just hope they see all the energy Ken.”
At home, Gosling admits Men’s health that he cooks a “Moroccan chicken bastilla” for his family and watches Love is blind.
“I hear the new season is even better – but I’ve been busy,” he adds.
Last week, ET debuted a behind-the-scenes preview of Autumn Facewhere Gosling and his co-star, Emily Blunt, opened up about their character’s “complicated relationship” and the importance of ensuring the fun they had on set translates to viewers.
“Every day on set we thought, ‘What can we do to make people happy?’” Gosling remembers making the film fun.
The fallen guy will be in theaters on May 3rd.
