Hayley Erbert is able to put on her dancing shoes again and return to the stage.
The skilled dancer, 29, happily revealed alongside her husband, Derek Hough, in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Friday that she has been medically cleared to return to tour.
“I am so excited to announce that I have been cleared to return to the Symphony of Dance tour and will be dancing when the tour kicks off on April 14th in Melbourne, Florida,” she said in the clip.
Hough, 38, added: “We can’t wait to get back on stage together and be back with all our fans and thank them. Thank you to all the great support you have shown during this time. We can’t wait.”
Erbert further reflected on her recovery in a separate Instagram post on Friday, which showed her rehearsing tour choreography with her husband.
“What a blessing (and shock) to be back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy four months,” the “Dancing with the Stars” troupe member wrote.
“My therapeutic journey has been nothing extraordinary and being able to dance again is igniting my soul in every way; further hastening my restoration.”
Erbert thanked the group of doctors who “supported” his decision to recover again, adding that they assured him that his “well-being and safety” were a priority.
In December 2023, the professional dancer underwent emergency brain surgery after she “became disoriented and was taken to the hospital” during a Symphony of Dance tour stop in Washington, DC.
“She was diagnosed with a skull hematoma caused by a ruptured blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy,” Hough explained on Instagram at the time.
In the following weeks, Erbert underwent a second surgery to replace a “large portion of his skull.”
