“The Actual Housewives of Orange County” alum Lauri Peterson’s son Josh Waring has died.
The television personality shared the tragic news with followers through an Instagram tribute she posted on Saturday, which included photos of Waring throughout her 35 years of life, accompanied by a long caption reflecting on her heartache and your time on Earth.
“It is with a broken heart that I write this post to let you know that my sweet Waring left this world on Easter Sunday,” she began. “No one can ever prepare you for such a profound sense of loss. Every fiber in my body hurts.”
Reflecting on his early years, she continued: “Josh’s childhood was full of deep thinking, humor, pranks, athletics, snowboarding, bodyboarding, hiking in the mountains, studying, friends and his love of music.”
“Even during adult hardships,” she continued, “Josh continued to watch his mood, continued to be optimistic, continued to be kind to others, stood up for people who couldn’t stand up for themselves, and continued to be so fond of his family. very!”
Peterson said his son “gained more pleasure, enthusiasm and purpose through his daughter Kennady.”
Peterson, 63, also thanked everyone who supported her and Waring in their fight against substance abuse. “Not everyone understands those who suffer from substance abuse disorder, but I am forever grateful for your understanding and the influence you have had on his life,” she noted.
Immediately chatting with her late son, she wrote: “Josh, I really like you and will miss you so much! I will forever be your ‘Mama Bear and Mama Dukes’ and every time the clock strikes 11:11, I will count on your name to inform me to make a wish!”
“What do I want now? My heart goes out to you and I pray that you have found the peace you so deserve,” she added as she ended her post. “Heaven gained the good angel and you gained your freedom eventually, sweet boy.”
She did not reveal the reason for Waring’s death. Page Six reached out to Peterson for comment.
As the former Bravo star noted, Waring hasn’t had an easy adult life. Between 2016 and 2020, he was locked behind bars after being arrested for the attempted murder of a man outside a California sober living home.
He was released after begging for lower costs when it was discovered that the Orange County Sheriff’s Division was listening to calls he had with his lawyers in jail. “We just hope the lessons from Josh’s case help other inmates,” his attorney, Joel Garson, told PEOPLE at the time.

In 2022, TMZ reported that he was experiencing new prices after being caught in possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine and trying to promote fentanyl.
Waring is survived by his daughter, Kennady. Lauri, who was a main cast member of “RHOC” for its first four seasons before returning for guest and “friend” roles in future seasons, followed Kennady a few years ago to help Waring recover.
“As many viewers know, I have a son and he has had a lot of challenges,” the reality star told the Daily Dish in 2015.
“And he and his wife had a son almost three years ago.”
“He’s really struggling and, well, they’re both really struggling.”
