Rebel Wilsonclaims against Sacha Baron Cohen are becoming clearer – because an excerpt from her new book has been released… and she details a pretty disturbing story about it.
The actress’ new memoir, ‘Rebel Rising’, will be released in a few days… and People Magazine obtained an excerpt — which features descriptions of things Rebel claims happened on the set of her 2016 film, ‘The Brothers Grimsby’ … including a lot of inappropriate behavior.
She writes: “It seemed like every time I spoke to SBC, he mentioned that he wanted me to be nude in a future scene. I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha’.”
RW goes on to describe a specific alleged incident on set, in which she claims he summoned her one day to film an extra scene in Cape Town – but then alleges he dropped his pants in front of her and said, “Okay, now I want for you to stick your finger up my ass.”
Rebel says she was shocked and figured out a way to get out of it… writing, “Now I was scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally committed: I slapped his ass and improvised a few lines in character.”
In response, People reports that Sacha’s team provided nine anonymous statements from fellow crew members that supported the notion that the scene was scripted and that Rebel knew exactly what was going on… i.e., her character was trying to do it. this intentionally.
Rebel, however, counters this… writing in her book that she actually talked to a lawyer about all of this – and in the end, she says she bit the bullet and buried it all laughing. One thing she does say…she told the producers she wouldn’t promote the film.
In the end, the film didn’t perform very well… and Rebel says she considers it karma. The reason she’s speaking out now, she adds, is to encourage women to speak their truths.
Of course, this all comes on the heels of Rebel recently naming Sasha as the “idiot” to whom she dedicated an entire chapter in her book. Although the excerpt here seems to be the most interesting part of her claims, she will probably present the entire ‘Grimsby’ saga.
Sacha’s team attacked Rebel on Monday when she branded him an “idiot”, saying his claims were “demonstrably false”. They gave us the same statement they issued yesterday when we told them about this latest development.
