Toyota Innova HyCross petrol will have new GX (O) trim offering more features
Toyota is expanding its Innova Hycross lineup with the introduction of a new top-of-the-line variant, the GX (O). This variant, expected to be available for the non-hybrid version of the MPV, is positioned to offer enhanced features and options.
The GX (O) variant will be positioned above the GX variant and will come in seven- and eight-seat configurations, providing flexibility to accommodate diverse passenger requirements. Toyota has equipped this variant with a number of additional features compared to the GX model.
Among the notable improvements are LED front fog lights, rear window defroster, automatic climate control, automatic rear fan control, dual-tone seats and a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. 1 inch with wireless Apple CarPlay integration in the seven-seat version. In addition, the GX (O) variant will feature a retractable rear sunshade (exclusive to the seven-seat configuration), a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors.
Under the hood, the Innova Hycross GX (O) will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generating 173 PS and 209 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox that delivers power to the front wheels. While the hybrid variants of the Innova Hycross offer an alternative with a hybrid petrol engine that produces 184 PS and high fuel efficiency, the GX (O) variant focuses on providing a dynamic driving experience with its petrol engine.
As for pricing, Toyota is yet to release the exact figures for the Innova Hycross petrol GX (O) variant. However, considering the additional features compared to the GX model, a modest premium of around Rs. 70,000/- is expected. Meanwhile, the hybrid variants of the Innova Hycross are priced between Rs. 25.72 lakhs and Rs. 30.68 lakhs.
Although the Innova Hycross doesn’t have a direct competitor, it faces competition from three-row SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700 Tatá Safari and MG Heitor Plus.
