Katie Couric is reporting that she is formally a grandmother!
The former “Now Right” host revealed her new name on Instagram, while posting a photo of herself cradling her daughter Ellie’s new baby, John Albert Dobrosky.
Katie says the 7-pound baby boy came into the world Saturday morning and may go by the name Jay.
After all, Jay was Katie’s late husband and John’s grandfather, Jay Monahanwho died of colon cancer in 1998.
The famous news anchor uploaded other IG photos showing Ellie and her husband, Brandholding his first baby as husband to Katie, Johnhe stood nearby handing out congratulatory cigars.

Katie’s other daughter, Carrie, also bonded with the little man.
Katie says she is thrilled with her new grandmother’s status, while Ellie and Mark are over the moon with their bundle of joy.
