Finally it was time to put the conspiracy theories to bed, but also to send our best regards to a young family facing very difficult news.
Kate Middleton opens up about her cancer diagnosis: “It’s been an incredibly difficult few months”
For the first time in weeks, the Palace has released an official update on the princess’s condition, and who better to share the news than Kate herself.
Sitting comfortably in her garden, she thanked the world for their well wishes and support during an incredibly difficult time.
Then she revealed how difficult it really has been, following surgery earlier this year.
“The surgery was a success. However, tests after the operation revealed the presence of cancer,” Kate said in a video message on Instagram.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should have preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment.”
“Of course, this has come as a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately, for the sake of our young family,” the princess added.
The princess has not revealed what type of cancer she is battling, which appears to be par for the course for the royal family. Buckingham Palace nor King Charles have yet to confirm what type of cancer he is battling, latest suggests pancreatic cancer.
Kate talks about her children and how they are dealing with the cancer news
“It has been an incredibly difficult few months for our whole family, but I have had a fantastic medical team who have looked after me very well, for which I am very grateful,” she said in the video, which was reportedly recorded in Windsor on Wednesday.
She then spoke about her “young family”, meaning her three young children – George, Charlotte and Louis – and how this news was handled for their benefit.
She revealed that everything about her condition was “explained in a way that suits them” and also assured that “everything is going to be fine.”
Kate’s medical journey so far
Kate was admitted to hospital in January 2024 for “scheduled abdominal surgery.”She spent 13 days at The London Clinic before returning home, where she is recovering.
No further official information was shared with the public after that.
When reports emerged that the Princess was in a coma and conspiracy theories about her absence spread, the Palace tried to allay fears by publicizing a photo of Kate with your children on Mother’s Day in the UK.
Unfortunately, this only escalated the drama, as in less than a few hours it became clear that the photo had been doctored.
Kate released a statement, saying she edited the photo herself. However, the damage was done.
Fuel was added to the fire and royal fans feared Kate was in hiding for sinister reasons.
Prince William Affair Rumors
Alternatively, it was believed that one of these reasons was that Kate was not withdrawing from her royal duties due to health problems, but rather personal ones.
Many are convinced that Kate withdrew from the public eye because of allegations of a affair between Prince William and Rose Hanbury.
These allegations have since been denied – repeatedly – by Lady Rose and Prince William. Kate did not address these rumors in her message to the public.
She also didn’t address the wild speculation that she was wearing a copycat pretending to be her on recent outings with Prince William.
