June Shannon appears to be fighting with her kids once again.
On last week’s episode of Mama June: Family Crisis, the 44-year-old refused to help pay for his youngest daughter’s college tuition.
No, serious.
Although Alana Thompson has graduated from high school and wants to continue her educational journey, June had this to say:
“I’m still rebuilding my life, so I chose to give her tough love and say ‘No, I won’t pay for college.’”
The irresponsible father discussed the matter with Alana and added:
“If I didn’t care about you and I didn’t care about you succeeding and doing the things you want to do, I wouldn’t be saying this.”
We cannot say that we follow this logic exactly.
Alana said on air that she didn’t expect any help from her mother, but she made some comments that expressed understandable bitterness.
For example:
“Maybe she thinks paying for (her husband) Justin’s chains or something is more important than putting me through college.”
Now, meanwhile, a few days after the episode aired, Shannon appears to have responded to the backlash.
The polarizing television personality posted a meme on Thursday to her social media account that reads as follows:
“Do you know why she doesn’t care anymore?
“It’s not because she’s got a cold ass (heart). It’s because she has some love inside her heart and is trying to protect it.
“So she won’t waste that love on people who are trying to waste and drain her energy and her soul.”
Shannon then signed off this message with: Amen. I know I’m not the only person who feels this way.
We have no idea if Shannon is referring to her daughters here.
We sincerely hope she isn’t saying that they drain her energy and that she doesn’t care about them.
But she was openly arguing with them on this recent episode of her stupid reality show, and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird will be very confused and concerned about something she noticed in the March 22 episode.
Taking a look at Alana’s Coogan account, where June was legally required to deposit her reality TV earnings, Lauryn will only see $33,000.
“There must be at least six figures in that account!” the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum stated in a confessional.
“Something isn’t adding up. My money is somewhere. He needs to be found now, as soon as possible. Because that won’t work.
At one point, June argues that the government withdrew half the original amount for taxes, but later admitted that she used the account in the past whenever Alana needed “clothes or anything else, hair appointments, eyelash appointments, nail appointments…”
Mama June even says in this issue that Alana should be “grateful” because $33,000 is a lot more than “most 18-year-olds start out in life with.”
That’s true, except… Alana earned that money herself.
And it sure looks like she got A LOT more.
