Aaron Rodgers practically won the coveted spot of “Jeopardy!” host after Alex Trebekthe loss of life… is what the program’s former producer and former presenter says.
Mike Richards – who infamously lost “Jeopardy!” hosting gig after some time due to outdated controversial comments he made – said People that the NFL star pioneered the role after impressing as a visiting host on the trivia show.
As Mike says… Aaron was the most ready guest host – which is saying something, since he’s guest hosted alongside TV execs like Anderson Cooper, Whitaker Invoice, Savannah Guthrie, George Stephanopoulos, Le Var BurtonIt is Robin Robertsamong other notable names.
However, according to MR, Aaron prepared intensely for the show and still looked good to everyone on the team. So the pro quarterback was seriously considered to replace Alex – and apparently he was interested too.
When asked how he would juggle hosting and football duties, Aaron allegedly told Mike that the show “Jeopardy!” group would determine this.
Unfortunately, the job ended up going to Mike… who was ultimately replaced by the famous “Jeopardy!” champion Ken Jennings is actress Mayim Bialik after his rapid fire. A much less shocking candidate was Katie Couricwhich Mike says introduced a distinctive look to the quiz show.
On the issue of his notorious exit from the present… Mike notes that many half-truths led to his exile from the leisure trade. To begin with, he argues that he did not decide on the much-coveted gig — a panel chose him for the position in 2021.
Mike doesn’t hold a grudge, however. He even admitted that he always thought Ken was the right person for the job. I can’t blame you for wanting to get this all off your chest.
