Meagan Good is feeling happier than ever, despite the last two “crazy” years he’s had.
Speaking with ET’s Kevin Frazier at the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, the 42-year-old actress — who was a nominee for your show Harlem – did not specifically mention Jonathan Majors‘ assault trial and convictionbut said she couldn’t feel more blessed at this time in her life.
“I’m happy, you know? It’s really crazy. I mean, a lot is happening. These last two years have been a crazy two years for me, but I’m happier than I’ve ever been, even with all the craziness,” Good said. “God is doing amazing things and so, trust in God, in the journey, and I’m like, ‘All right, sir, what’s next?’”
In December, Majors, 34, was found guilty of one count of assault and one count of harassment following a weeks-long domestic violence trial with his ex, Grace Jabbari. He was also acquitted of one count of third-degree intentional assault and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment.
Since then, the couple has kept a low profile as they await the April 8 sentencing. O Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star faces up to a year in prison for the third-degree assault he was convicted of.
Majors joined Good mid-interview with ET and said that after his trial and public ban by Disney and Marvel from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s good to “be seen” and have the opportunity to support Good.
“It’s incredible, it’s great. I love everything she does and I’m happy she’s being recognized today,” he noted.
During his trial, Good sided with the Majors and was visibly upset after the verdict was read in December, an eyewitness told ET at the time.
In January, Majors gave his first interview after the guilty verdict with Good Morning America It is insisted he never hit Jabbari.
“My hands have never hit a woman – ever,” he said ABC news‘Linsey Davis. As for how the injuries appeared, the actor said: “I wish God knew.”
“It would give me clarity, it would give me some kind of peace about it,” he said. Still, he maintained that he did not cause them. “I have no doubts,” he added.
In that same interview, Majors also praised Good for supporting him during his trial and afterwards.
“She’s an angel. She held me like… a Coretta,” he said, referring to Coretta Scott King, wife of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The relationship is still new, but, you know, I think I found her.”
In early March, the couple – who first sparked dating rumors in the spring of 2023 – made their red carpet debutparticipating hand in hand at the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles.
