Carlos AlcarazThe game of tennis is sweet as honey… and of course some bees thought so too – because a huge swarm forced him off the court!

The second best male player in the world took the court Thursday to face Alexander Zverev during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, but ended up fighting more with a cloud of cowardly drones when the match was tied at 1-1.
Check out the video… Alcaraz tries to simply brush some of the pesky creatures off his face before realizing his bug problem is much bigger than he thought.
CA remains calm for a while as the side referee explains the situation to the crowd… but the bees buzzing in his head prove to be too much for the Spanish star.
Carlos starts swinging his racket wildly before running towards the tunnel, away from the court. He also pulled his shirt over his face to protect himself – and let’s just say it was quite a sight… like something out of “Sleepy Hollow.”
In the end, it appears that Carlos suffered some harm from all this – his agent says he was stung in the forehead during the melee, although it’s unclear to what extent he was injured.
Ultimately, it looks like everyone ended up relatively well… because the game continued just after 5pm PT, with Carlos struggling with his injury – after a totally unprotected individual turned around and vacuumed up the swarm of bugs in the camera, alone. Audacious!
Talk about a BUZZ-worthy moment in today’s match, right?
