O Kate Middleton the saga continues – and now, Stephen Colbert is leaning into a salacious new rumor…namely, that Prince William may allegedly be having an affair.
The ‘Late Show’ host made the Royals one of his topics in Tuesday night’s opening monologue – and he fully embraced unsubstantiated speculation and insinuations that Bill is, perhaps, cheating… a rumor that has been circulating for a long time. some time in the tabloids, etc.
The supposed “other woman” in question is Lady Rose Hanbury – the Marchioness of Cholmondeley – who has been in William and Kate’s inner orbit, as a friend, for years.
As we said, this has never been confirmed… but it’s been rumored for a long time – and now, amid Kate’s mysterious absence, matters are in high gear again… with some suggesting it somehow has something to do with it. with the reason why KM is out of the spotlight.
Colbert didn’t seem too interested in connecting the dots — but he was happy to poke fun at the headlines that theorized as much… by cracking jokes at Will and Kate’s expense.
He even mocked a report that suggested Kate had confronted her husband about it… to which the Prince allegedly “laughed” and said it was much ado about nothing.
As we reported… William has been keeping calm and continuing with his royal duties while Kate continues to recover from your abdominal surgery behind closed doors – although, slight glimpses of her have been seen here and there since the procedure in January.
Of course, she failed Photoshop attempt on the weekend – which she explicitly took the blame to – just added more fuel to the fire about what exactly is going on with her.
The fact is… almost no one believes the photo was taken when Kensington Palace says it was – and with this new affair rumor now hitting the mainstream… it’s just another layer that Will and Kate have to combat as they people keep investigating theory after theory.
Kensington Palace has remained silent on almost everything… refusing to comment further. We’ve reached out to them once again about this latest development… no word back yet.
